ENGINE DEVELOPMENT CAPABILITY
We have the capability to develop all kinds of four stroke engines from 125cc single cylinder to 8ltr V8s. The development of the engine can also be tailored to your particular requirements whether its more top-end power you need or more torque.
HEAD PORTING: All of our cylinder heads are ported individually and by hand. This not only gives a high quality finish but also allows us to easily experiment with new port shapes. We use a Superflow flow bench to measure flow through the head and guide the development of new port shapes.
VALVE SEATS: We have a designated valve seat cutting machine (Serdi) which allows us to accurately cut multi angle seat geometries. Many types of valve can also be reshaped in the machine shop to optimize seat flow.
MACHINE SHOP: Our machine shop has turning, milling and boring capability so we can do things such as, boring out cylinders, re-aligning bores, skimming heads and/or blocks, strengthening bearing housings, modifying valve shapes, altering piston crowns, . .
CAM DESIGN: We can spec new cam profiles and get them made. In many cases the new profile can be ground onto an existing camshaft to reduce cost.
ENGINE BALANCING: Where required assemblies can be lightened and balanced, including rod polishing and component matching.
